We're home....and exhausted....

We made it safely home on Sunday, April 27th @ 3:32. We are exhausted and trying to adjust everyone's schedule but generally doing pretty well. M has passed his cold along to all of us and so we are pretty miserable but other than that didn't get sick. M is beautiful....pictures don't do him justice! He can be a bit finicky (sp?) but I think E was a bit like that at first too. My FIL is coming tomorrow, Thursday and Friday to help out while Will goes back to work and my mom comes next week sometime. It will be an adjustment but I think it will go somewhat smoothly....although maybe you should ask me that on Friday!

Loads of pictures of M!!!

E saying Ethiopia! So cute!

It had to happen...

So far our adoption process has gone really smooth. No unusual happenings and so I knew something had to happen, the world of international adoption does not go this smoothly. Sure enough, I emailed our local agency about when we would receive the "Wisconsin letter", which is required by the state of Wisconsin, she said she would check into it. She called back to tell me that the state never received our court decree. Yikes....now I start to worry....we need this paper to travel. We find the email that was addressed to the state and sent but notice it does not have the state's email, therefore they never got it. We forward it on to the state and within an hour she takes care of it! I was so amazed and relieved to have that letter in my hands yesterday!

Freaking out.

We waited too long to fill out what we assumed would be easy paperwork and now we are freaking out. Lots of questions and not any answers to be found at this time of night. UUUGHHH!!!!

Yikes!!!

Only 2 days left until we leave. We are packed and generally ready to go. The house is now clean, except the bathroom, which I will clean tomorrow. I have a couple small things to do on my list but other than that we are ready. I can't even believe that we leave Wednesday morning to finally go to Ethiopia and bring home our little boy. It seems like you wait forever and then boom...the date is here. I am so excited and hope our trip and travel group is as amazing as it was the first time. That would be hard to do as I think our first travel group was amazing and we all got along rather well.

Tomorrow we are going to see my mom and a friend. I knew I didn't want to be around at all tomorrow as I would just be too anxious. Going somewhere seems like a far better idea than staying cooped up at home and watching the hours slowly tick by. Will is working really late tomorrow as he will be at a work session with their school board to discuss plans of an alternative school in their district, so Eli and I are having dinner with my parents.

TRAVEL DATE!!!!!!!!

Finally, we have a travel date. We leave in 2 weeks.....April 17th!!!!!!!!1

Woohoo....finally!!!

We have received MK's birth certificate today! Yippee! I am so excited. His photo is so cute. I think he is bald. If we get to ET and he has hair I will be surprised. He also has ears that stick out and a more oblong face than E had. He has pur on some weight and looks so much older than his referral photo 2 1/2 months ago. We still don't have a travel date. Our country specialist is hoping they hear back from ET staff regarding a travel date tomorrow.
