The croup!

Well, he has the croup. I took him to the doctor this morning after a long night of not sleeping and he has the croup. I didn't even know what the croup was. It is horrible though and our doctor informed me that we will have a couple nights of sleeplessness and then it should start to improve. They gave him a liquid steroid that will reduce the swelling in his throat and make it easier for him to breathe. I am hoping that he can sleep better but am resigned to thinking we may be sleeping in the recliner for a couple of nights. He will also be sleeping in the pack n play in our room so that we can hear him better. It worries me that croup makes it so hard to breathe. I hope it clears up soon.
