A lovely holiday!

What a relaxing holiday! Christmas Eve Will's family came to our house and we celebrated together. It was a wonderful night. The ham took much longer than everything I read said it would. Luckily it was fully cooked so I didn't really need to worry. Eventually, we gave up and just microwaved it to heat it up. E had a ton of gifts to open. It was a "Cars" Christmas for him. It was so nice to wakeup in our own house on Christmas morning. E was so jacked up all holiday. I think he didn't stop jumping for more than 2 hours all holiday. He was so excited to be the center of attention. He was also on a high from all the gifts. I don't think he knew what to do with himself. Christmas afternoon we went to my parents and it was more excitement for E. He had a great time and he loved seeing all his aunts and uncles.

The day after Christmas we went sledding. E loved it. It was his first sledding adventure and he thought it was so much fun. He received a sled as a Christmas gift and we couldn't wait to use it. His Nana Rose and Uncle Will, Josh & Ben, Cousins Colin and Miles were all there. Of course we were there too as was Lucy. He had a great time. He really wanted to go to the top of the hill (it is a pretty large hill) and we didn't want to discourage him so up we went. He rode down with his dad and about 2/3 down they hit a rut in the snow and E was bounced from the sled and slid a bit on his back. Will asked if he wanted to go down the rest of the way and through his tears he said yes. He hopped on the sled with his Nana and away they went. We were happy he didn't refuse to go anymore. He had a great time. It was a wonderful holiday!
