Christmas:)

This year Christmas was fabulous! The boys did fairly well, despite Speedy's minor breakdown at Grandma & Grandpa's about presents. Speedy mentioned a lot that he was so happy to have such wonderful Christmas presents and was so greatful for everything he got. It was so lovely to hear and even more wonderful for me to watch. He also understood that he was lucky and that not every child is that lucky. We talked a lot about those less fortunate than us this Christmas and I think Speedy gets it in his own 4 year old way. My favorite part of Christmas was the gift we gave him after we were home from all other celebrations. The boys had both been asking for a Big Buzz Lightyear and initially we weren't going to get them but then we figured it was the only thing they really wanted.

Here is how it went down. We gave them their one last present and we figured the box shape was a dead give away but turns out they didn't even catch it. Speedy was letting Giggles open his first. Giggles was tearing paper and saw the words Buzz Lightyear on the package and proclaimed, "It's a big Buzz Wightyear." Giggles started tearing paper more frantically and Speedy set to tearing open his package as quickly as he could. They were so excited. The present even warranted a huge hug and a very genuine "Thanks mom and dad." from Speedy. They were jazzed.

Here are some pictures of our holiday, including Speedy with Santa (Giggles still wants nothing to do with him.) At least this year there were no tears.
